Kaka on Shevchenko rumours
Sunday, April 13, 2008
Kaka would endorse the return of former striker Andrei Shevchenko to the club.
The former European Footballer of the Year had seven glorious seasons for Milan before he joined Chelsea in a £30m deal in 2006, but his career has taken a spectacular nosedive since arriving at Stamford Bridge.
It is no secret that the Ukrainian striker is unhappy off the pitch as the well, and it seems highly likely that Chelsea will allow him to leave this summer, with Milan's management keen to feed the speculation that he is set for an emotional return.
Kaka, for one, would be happy to be reunited with a player that he connected with so well both on the field and off.
"I always talk to him. We are friends from our time at Milan," said the Brazil star.
"I cannot understand what has happened to him in the last two years. For me, he remains a great player.
"It's up to the club to manage his return, but for me it would not be a problem."
